This year PrEP went off with a bang. What’s PrEP you may ask?... well it stands for Primary Enterprise Programme. Venture groups were made up of Food, Horticulture, Arts and Crafts, Entertainment and Services. The aim of PrEP is to make money and learn about the trials and tribulations of being in business in a practical way. We started with a "Mini-Market day" which was a chance to test the market, to see if what we had created or performed was what the market wanted, before we had our "Real Market Day". This is where we opened our doors to the parents and the public. PrEP was a 4 week module with the school being transformed into a business community. Banks, Warehouses and the like were setup using the Tech Art rooms and various classrooms. While alot of groups did not make much money, and were either in debt with the bank or bankrupt, there were equally many groups that were very succesful. PrEP was very exciting for us kids... a look to the future ...maybe?.
